How I work

People often come to therapy because they are feeling stuck, or something isn't working for them in life.As a Gestalt therapist, I have a relational, embodied approach, bringing curiosity to what is happening in the present moment, as well as raising awareness of habitual patterns of relating. This can bring about natural shifts and new perspectives.I also use Somatic Experiencing® (SE™) to work with trauma and chronic stress. This body-based approach, which aligns with and enhances my Gestalt practice, gently supports the nervous system to return to regulation, without dwelling on the 'story' of overwhelming events.Symptoms of trauma and/or chronic stress can include anxiety, panic attacks, depression,
hyper-vigilance, ruminating, insomnia, nightmares, headaches, migraines, exhaustion, chronic fatigue, immune system issues, digestive problems, and more.
With any new symptoms, it is important to seek a GP consultation to rule out other causes.
